I like it! A child sits in school for six hours a day. Then he has to come home and do more work??? That's not fair. Let's face it. Who really does the work anyway? For little kids, it's mom or dad. If a child can't grasp the lesson in a six hour day, then the teacher needs to re-examine his teaching method. About 2 yrs ago, I read that schools were considering increasing the amount of hours for school. This could mean 15 to 30 extra minutes per day or a few extra days a year. It was up to the school superintendent. Time isn't really the issue when it comes to learning, though. A child can sit in school all day and still fail the test. Then he can unwrap a new video game and master it in 15 minutes.
