Been in Canada for almost six weeks!

Wow, where does time go? We have been in Canada for nearly six weeks! Hubby and our oldest just got here almost three weeks ago. We are staying with family until we find our forever home/farm. Someone scooped up one of the properties we were really interested in and a couple others on our list sold...but we still have some on our list to explore they just are not our "favorites" or the asking price is too high for all the work that needs to be done to the we are continuing our search.

Due to immigration laws, I am the only one able to work until my husband gets a work permit or his permanent residency application gets approved. I am working as a CCA in training and will have full time hours for the first time this coming week. I really like what I do. I am also delivering newspapers early in the morning. Gotta do what we've gotta do, eh? I am blogging when I can, which hasn't been much lately. Hubby is homeschooling the children and keeping things going at home.

How is everyone here at

Glad to hear things are going well? You picked a bad winter to move, though! It's been horrible weather...(And I say this as a fellow Canadian)

You are living the dream, Teresa, My hubby and I hope to move back to my home state and get a farm someday. I want to purchase an old farm house or cottage and fix it up.
I hope you get the home and farm you are looking for. I'll be praying. God bless you all.

The only thing new is my hubby has been taking electrical classes at a work force center. He is gone three nights a week, gets home after 10 pm, so I am wrangling the kids and managing everything else while he is not here. The course is for an apprentice but he has electrician experience, and does electrical work and grounding at his job (has been there for nine years). He is still interested in the medical field. He is a certified first responder through The American Red Cross and is now certified through The American Heart Association.

Jonah has been getting more teeth in so we are going to try Burdock root. He has been standing by himself and walking about two to three feet before he quits.

We also are going to start our seedlings and bulbs this weekend.
