Need some device for a 13 month old.

I have a question and would love to get some feedback. My daughter is going on 13 months. She's running around and SUPER active. But when it comes to nap time, she will absolutely not take a nap unless she is in her crib and cries herself to sleep. Also when she goes to bed for the night she 9 times out of 10, will fall asleep no problem, but she will get up every night around 3. What are some of your tricks as to help get a baby sleeping through the night and to also make it easier to sleep for nap time. My other question is, my daughter makes this high pitched scream/whining all day. She understands the word no but will not listen. I've tried to ignore the whining but that doesn't do anything. Also with telling her no, she does not listen to me.

Sounds like a normal toddler. Make a consequence, you don't listen to no-something happens. EVERY TIME. You scream, something happens. For mine they scream and squeal because they don't know how to tell me, so I have them show me and that cuts down on the ear piecing screams.

As far as the hyperness goes,, we've cut sugar back in our house and that's helped. A glass of juice wiht breakfast, water the rest of the day. Koolaid and other drinks are a treat. I buy crackers or make cookies with less sugar for treats.

the hyperness can't be from sugar because my house is all organic. Even organic sugar. But she barely eats any sugars. She usually goes to bed between 8 and 10. And her naps can be from 5 minutes to 2.5 hours. I have been letting her just keep playing until she's fussy. Then I just lay her in her crib until she falls asleep. (She is on coconut milk no formula) When it comes to the screaming, she get very frustrated. Sometimes she will fall on purpose and do a high pitched scream. I tell her no and she will scream again. Sometimes it's to the point where I pick her up and she stop. I'm not sure if she's doing it just to get attention but she's in the house with my mom, dad, and two dogs. So she gets plenty of attention. What are some ways you guys used that seemed to be successful with the screaming and sleeping.

I completely ignore the screaming. Although i can't say it seems to be helping. With my five year old if he starts and won't stop,he goes to his room, we shut the door until he is calmed down. But I won't do that any younger.

The sleeping.. For naps they play until grumpy then just crash wherever. The baby sleeps in her crib. Bed time is set, we go potty, get jammas on, brush teeth, kisses from daddy, books, then lights out and I cuddle until they fall asleep in their bed.
