bottles

How old was your baby when they started holding their own bottle and feeding themselves. It was so long ago that my daughter was little that I don't remember but my soon is 7.5 months and I feel like he should be. If I give him his bottle he either throws it right on the floor or his on it so he can knock it all around. I'm just wondering if Im expecting him to do too early or if he should be able to by now?

My son didn't hold his until he was almost eleven months old. Every baby is different.

That's great! He may just not have liked the way the bottle felt between his hands or maybe he was telling you he was ready for a big boy cup.

I think Jonah was about 5 or 6 months old, maybe younger. As everyone says, and this is true, each child is different. Some hit certain milestones early while others hit them later and vise versa. He will hold his own when he is ready--just keep encouraging him to.
