My kids have a lot of input on which veggies we buy and what meals we cook so it makes it easier

I make a balanced meal every time every day.
Typical day: breakfast consist of eggs toast with peanut butter, orange slices and coconut milk or apple juice 2 oz. Lunch- chicken or turkey, noodles with tomato chunks, cooked carrots or broccoli, cauliflower or green beans. water
Snacks- breastmilk on demand, organic puffs- sweet potato or apple, fruit- peaches or apple sauce, water when ever she wants it.
Dinner- chicken, turkey or steak, hamburger/meatball, veg- carrots, green/wax beans, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet or white potatoes, rice or noodles...etc. water.

I usually make a meat some veggies and something like mashed potatoes or be and ar pasta on the side..I get some veggies and put the other side on the veggies because my son won't eat veggies by themselves..it all comes out the same way lol that's how I get it done

They have to at least try what's on their plates. I'm not a short order cook. They get what's for supper and that's the end of it. I do try to make meals that have what everybody likes.. But the only time they get to choose their dinner is leftover night.

I make Malachi smoothies and it makes it a lot easier!! I put fruit, whole milk yogurt, his whole milk, some spinach that's raw, or kale. For snacks he either gets fruit, hard boiled eggs, or veggies. I do let him have a cheat day sometimes and give him veggie straws or something like that. He also loves carrots so he eats lots of those! To be honest we just don't feed him junk very often and he loves anything we put in front of him besides spinach. Broccoli I mash for him still because he seems to have a hard time chewing it. But he is a pretty good eater. I also occasionally pump some breast milk for him and add it into his regular milk.

I love kale in my smoothies and also plan on giving Jonah some.

I sneak vegetables into whatever it is I am making. When making spaghetti, I wilt spinach into the sauce. My daughter never knows the difference. Also, she has been talking about building muscle so I tell her the veggies will help her and will make her stronger. I also buy V-8 as opposed to Koolaid and juices.

Also, if they will not eat it, we say "at least try it" or "you need to eat this many bites (usually three to five, depending on the size of bite they are taking)." I usually give a small portion of veggies and fruit on their plate. If she wants a snack before bed or more of something else, she is expected to eat the veggies/fruit. I do not have a problem with my son about them.
