Epidural vs Naturally

I'm not a person who copes with pain very well so went with epidural. How about you?

I hate needles more than I hate pain, so I went natural. Anyway, three of my children were born at home, so I had no choice!

I had epidurals with the first three. I had reactions with my son and younger daughter. My youngest was born naturally. Never going back to epidurals (and besides...the cost is horrendous!).

Generally it's 24-28 hours, but many little kids are so scared to eat for awhile so it takes them awhile to get it back to normal.

I had an epidural mostly because I didn't want to deal with the pain, but as it turned out I didn't need it. I had to be rushed for an emergency c-section because James was really starting to stress out.

Both mine were c-sections so I had spinal injections. The first was a HORRIBLE experience. This last injection while not fun wasn't that bad. I'm not sure what I would do if I didn't have c-sections.

I went naturally but at last moment opted for an epidural before it was too late and didn't even really need it, i was just so nervous.

natural,,that's why after giving birth I decided that this one is enough. baby is such a happiness but I'm afraid already to deal with pain again.

i actually take pain very well. but since i have epilepsy they did not let me risk the pain throwing me into a fit. since we ended up having a emergency c-section it all worked out and they were able to give me the meds for go time since they were plugged in. this time around were already planning for the c section. i will say that even with the pain i was up and walking a few hours later. i shuffled along but could take it. :)

I have a high tolerance for pain. I rarely take Tylonel if this tells you anything. I only got an epidural because I had to have a Cesarean and it would be easier for them to put a catheter in and my hubby would be allowed to be in the room with me. I never felt my contractions, either, and this was before the epidural. I also took Tylonel instead of the pain meds they gave me. I took them once and they knocked me out so I did not want them anymore because I would not be able to care for my son. I was up and walking around the next morning of my Cesarean (my son was born at 11:05 pm). Jonah has a high tolerance for pain as well.

Epidural, but it wore off before I started pushing. If I ever do it again, I'm ALL ABOUT those pain meds!! No pain? ALL gain ;D
