Nausea

When I was pregnant with Jonah, I only had morning sickness the day after conception with something I hate did not agree with me. I had no nausea, dry heaves, or vomiting whatsoever the rest of the pregnancy. Now, with this one I am constantly nauseated and barely have an appetite. I will eat a few bites of something (favorite foods, too) and feel full or wanting to hurl. I have even tried crackers. I've thought about getting some ginger but I may speak to my OB first.

Peppermint, ginger ale (the Canadadry brand has REAL ginger in it), papaya enzyme was my life saver. I eat lots of peanut butter and bread in the first trimester.

Thank you, Tabitha. What did the papaya enzyme do for you?

It's a natural tums (and tastes A LOT better lol). Walmart $4. If you can get fresh papaya it's supposed to work better, but I'm never pregnant during papaya season lol

I chewed the Kids' tums while I was pregnant because they tasted better. Lol
I'll have to look for some papaya.

lol! I always get the fruit flavored kind. But even hubby says the papaya works better than tums. :)

The kids kind are cherry. Anything other than the fruit ones wanted to make me vomit even more.

There wasn't much that helped me...I was so sick both pregnancies from start to finish. The thing that always helped the most was to eat what sounded good at that moment if I could. If I ate anything besides what sounded good I would instantly get sick. There were a lot of days that I couldn't keep food down but I was ok with liquids so I would find things to drink with calories in it so I would at least be getting something.

Last night I ate a salad and for the first time since getting pregnant, I did not feel sick to my stomach.
