Do you keep the 1 rst B-day oufit as a keepsake?

I wonder what are the things you keep from your baby first year,I have a hard time getting those things away, but we may move to another estate so I'm cleaning out her closet and have a hard time making decisions about what to keep.Like her 4th of July ,Halloween outfit, or B-day party dress. She will be our only child. Please help me.

We haven't decided if my daughter will be our only yet. So far, we've kept pretty much everything in plastic bins and whatnot in the basement. If we get far enough along that we don't need it all, I'll probably go through it all, keep my favorites, and donate the rest.

When I got pregnant, my mom handed me MY crib set and a dress of mine that was her favorite. The crib set, while cute, was a bit much, but the dress, even though I never got to put my daughter in it, I'll keep it to maybe give to her someday.

I had my daughters things but lost them during a move years ago!! But am keeping certain things with my son too. What I plan to keep for him and what I had kept for her before I lost it was the outfit they wore home from the hospital, their first halloween costume, their first christmas outfit and their first easter outfit. I didn't keep first bday for my daughter because she didn't wear anything fancy just had on a normal onesie and pants. My son isn't one yet but I doubt he'll be in anything special either. Any normal clothes I get rid of immediately after they size is outgrown, I donate it. I don't see the harm in keeping a couple outfits even if moving.

I kept all of my kids' firsts. I even kept each holiday, some small outfits, first b-day, first shoes, outfit they came home from the hospital in, first size diaper...Lol. I even kept some baby clothes so I can make a quilt out of them all later.

We kept a few special pieces of clothes. His coming home from hospital, his first Christmas, etc. We also kept his teeny tiny special onesies that different family members gave him. Those we actually put on his teddy bears so he can see them all the time <3
