Potty training help for a 4 year old boy PLEASE!!!!

My husband and I are in dire need of help and/or advice!! Our son is 4 years old and to start school in the fall. He has no problem going pee in the toilet, but when he's at home-he refuses to poop in toilet-but has no problem at daycare. We've put him in underwear and he still poops in underwear-but he almost asks embarrassed. We've also tried taking away a toy for the day if he poops in underwear. None of this works and I just don't know what to do. He is one of those kids that has to do things when it's his idea. I just don't know what to do anymore!!!!

We had to bribe the kids to go poop in the potty. Every time they went, they got one piece (like M&Ms), if they went without me telling them they got two. After about 3 weeks of that every day, they got one piece of candy every day for going poop. We did that for a few more weeks then stopped.
One of my friends had luck by throwing away the underwear when he messed in them. She said they went through one package of underwear until he realized he couldn't wear his favorites anymore and started pooping in the potty. They bought plain white ones to replace instead of ones with characters.
Hope you find something that works and quick. I know how nerve wracking it can be.
