I Am Back...

It has been a long and busy summer. Some of it was good but we still had some trials (my son's surgery). We finally got another laptop. It is used but works great. Jonah had surgery last month on the 24th for his right hand, and it went smoothly. He will be getting the cast off on the 24th of this month. It does not seem to affect him in anyway--praise God! After he gains full function of his right hand and can use it well, surgery for the left will follow.

School starts soon and I am counting down the days...it has been a long and stressful summer with a preteen with a bad 'tude. Lol!!
We did a lot of fun things this summer as well. We also canned and froze a lot of our fruits and veggies for fall and winter in case we are snowed in and because we enjoy canning and eating what we've grown. :)

I am also in the process of potting training because a certain young man is already ready. He is full of surprises. Haha!

I have missed you all. And I hope you all had a lovely summer and are doing well, too.

Thank you, Tracy. :) He has been climbing on things one-handly...and then jumping off. :/ He is wild.

Oh dear. Lol. You probably have a near heart attack like me when she does. Jonah keeps finding higher things to climb--scares me to death. They are so fearless at that age.

Thank you, Tabitha. Things are beginning to slow down and school starts next week on the 20th. I am secretly looking forward to that, but also fear what trouble she will get into this year because she is liking boys even more so and they like her. :/
Her dad says he is buying her a habit and she will join a convent. Lol Summer seemed so long, and I am looking forward to fall activities with the kiddos.

Do things ever slow down with kids in the house?

Nope, they never slow down...it seems only to get faster and crazier. Lol
Jonah loves the ladies but I am not too worried about that since he is so young (he is such a major flirt though). Jaina is wanting a boyfriend, but the rule is no dating until she is sixteen and then we will see if she is mature enough for a relationship. Also, we need to meet the boy, he has to have our approval, and she needs to have group dates. I may sound a little paranoid, but I am not--just old-fashioned. It was a rule in my home when I was growing up, too.

Oh, and, yes, you are lucky you do not have to deal with that yet. Lol It's terrifying.

The rule in my house was 18. I was able to go to the school dances with dates before then, but my parents took us and brought us back home.
You aren't paranoid-she might not see it until much later in life, but she'll see it eventually.
