Best winter coat brand?

I have tried in the past to buy cheaper coats for my daughter in winter but they always break. I need to find a coat that will not break easy, can stand up to extreme cold temps and not over $100 preferably.

I like Columbia and The Northface brands. Best ones I have ever owned.

I get them from garage sales mostly. I have had to replace zippers because they rarely put metal zippers on anything anymore and the plastic ones break easy. I just make sure I get one that has velcro closure, too, so if the zipper goes caput and I can't get it fixed right away, it's still usable.

I can never find in her size, when my daughter was born there were almost all girls in the nursery and all the rooms were filled. when my youngest son was born mainly boys so finding clothing for them at yard sales is difficult

yes. I'm in the same boat. I leave money with my mom to help me find clothes-she's six hours away. :)

I buy them at Sears and Burlington Coat Factory before summer hits because we get them at a super great price. They coats withstand many washes and abuse, too.

I paid ten for my son's and it was a 60 dollar coat at Sears. It is extremely thick, too, because we get a lot of snow here and below zero temps.

My daughters was an 80 dollar coat (at Burlington's) marked down to 25. We brought them around March-April.
