This Pregnancy Seems So Slow...

With my son, it seemed my pregnancy flew by. He will be two soon, which is hard to believe (it truly went by too fast) But, I am anxious for this one to arrive. I feel like I have been pregnant for years instead of just months. Lol

LOL...Goodness, with the way this year has flown by, we'd think it is going by quickly.
When she is hear, my first thoughts will be: "Well, it's about time." Lol!

LOL Yes it will be! For me, I think it's going so slow because it's the earliest I've known I was pregnant... Andrew, Adrianna and Grace I didn't know until 12 or 13 weeks.. Eva surprised me completely, we didn't know until I 20 weeks-that was a SHORT pregnancy lol!!!!

Wow! I am not sure if I would like a surprise like that or not. In a way, it's a way to make things seem faster but not much time preparing and putting money away and things aside. I love that about Grace though. Lol

Jonah's infant seat has not expired yet, so I am grateful for that. But, I cannot reuse all his old baby clothes, just some gender-neutral ones. Luckily, we do not have to buy much kids' clothes because one of my nephews is a year and a half older than Jonah so he gets all his old clothes. With Jaina, I shop clearance racks, thrift stores, and there is an older girl we know (who is about a year or two older than Jaina) and gives Jaina all her clothes from the year before she grew out of. The only thing we buy constant are shoes and pajamas. I really need to get back to sewing.

And, I am getting a different bassinet. The one we had, the padding was hard like a rock--which made nights difficult for Jonah and sleeping. My husband also wants a swing that sits higher off of the ground and a softer rocking chair. Lol

LOL! What about just replacing the padding in the bassinet? I wrap ours in a blanket then put the little sheet on. I want to get new padding for my rocking chair, too. But I doubt it'll happen. I love the swing we got for Eva, it's one of those that goes like three different ways. I found a garage sale when Eva was a baby and talked her into giving me all of her baby girl clothes for $30-huge bargain.

I love bargains. :) My hubby started a tradition with his first daughter, to purchase a rocking chair and then have it passed down to each child when they become parents so they can rock their kids in the rocker they were rocked in. We got Jonah's for $30 at an auction. I like it, but the hubby says it needs padding so I put some older pillows on it.

We have on of those pack-n'-play bassinets. It never came with padding. I tried finding padding that would fit but never could. Right now, it is still being used as a changing table since I can wipe down the flat cushion part of it. I used to change on the bed but stopped that after Jonah kept rolling all over the quilt. Ew. Lol

I may have to keep checking the Facebook yard sale page for more items. Hubby's niece was on their selling on of the dresses her daughter wore as an infant. It is fancy as she is selling it for 6.00. That is way low, especially with the look of the dress. It also comes with a sparkly cardigan and headband to match.

Someone we know, also gave us a ton of baby girl clothes (newborn to 6-9 mnths). There are more newborn, 0-3, and 3-6, than 6-9 months, but I shop clearance racks and put away for the next stage. I do this with shoes for the kids since they are constantly growing out of them. We also do this with coats. It is much cheaper than spending the total amount down the road. We will find stuff 50-75% off.

When I was pregnant with Andrew we found a bassinet at a consignment shop. It was missing the mobile, but it works just fine. I love it.
