It seems no milk is good...

After going to the Wic office and getting my brochures changed to non 1% milk and adding pediasure I was told the computer doesn't let them give me regular lactose free milk! I'm now looking for a better milk to buy her after reading so many bad things about cows milk! but it seems everyone says something different... I bought Almond milk to check how she does with it and because a lot of mom's (not here) have said its healthier that cows milk and much better but I found this while researching milks>>>This month, consumers filed a class-action lawsuit against Blue Diamond Growers, the makers of Almond Breeze, alleging that the company falsely markets the drink as if it is primarily made from almonds when, in fact, it is composed of only 2 percent almonds, with water, sugar, and additives making up most of the rest. If true, this allegation could help to explain why these nut milks aren’t all that nutritious.

So now I guess all milks are bad??

My mom buys Horizons brand of almond milk. Personally, I wouldn't buy Silk or Blue Diamond brands.
WIC let me get lactose free with a note from the doctor, is that an option?

I have never looked at the labels, but Blue Diamond and Silk brands are known for using GMOs (something we try to avoid).. I know I can buy Horizons at our natural health food store and I know they do rigorous research to insure they aren't selling GMOs-so it should be safe.

Have you tried soy? Or what about rice milk? There is also coconut milk.
Our WIC here (Virginia) and the one in California allow Lactose-free whole milk. I am sorry your area does not. That totally stinks. They need to take into account all children's allergies. If you have a not from the doctor, they should allow it.

My son likes the soy, lactose-free, and the coconut milk.
