baby shower for number 4!?

What's your thoughts on this?

My husband & I were talking last night about what out future holds even tho I'm only 8 weeks, it dawned on us we have nothing anymore. LOL our last child is almost 5, all the way up to him, we used the same swing, crib and Basinet, play pen exc.. As we bought for our first, which is now 8 years old, so over the summer it was time to pitch that stuff as it is worn down. I also have no baby clothes left from them, worn out or gave away to the needy. I'm curious as to if it would sound crazy for me to have a baby shower for this one? Ive already had 2 one for my daughter and one for my oldest son. What's your thoughts?

I don't see why not. If anybody questions tell them you sold all your baby stuff and SURPRISE. :) I can remember a few ladies I used to babysit as a teenager had the same situation.
Also, i don't know how your finances are, but there have been a ton of baby stuff on Black Friday ads... and baby stuff usually goes on sale about March.

Thanks for your thoughts ladies, its not so much as a financial problem, as it is me getting overwhelmed quickly that I forget things and it never hurts to have extra baby clothes and diapers. Lol

LOL :D With my second I made a list of everything, with stars beside the 'musts'. I've never had a baby shower.. We bought a little over the months I was pregnant and got some for Christmas.

I think it's perfectly fine and appropriate that you want a shower. It is needed, too. It never hurts to have extra, either. I loved getting diapers the most since they go through them so rapidly.

I'm so used to the women I know having showers for all their kids, I've known a few with 4 or 5 kids and they all had baby showers. The first time I heard it wasn't normal was when someone on this site asked about it. Every baby is special and unique and deserves to be celebrated. The way I see it is that a shower is a way for the ones that can't be there when the baby is born to celebrate the birth.

Have a baby shower! It's your baby's first celebration and it never hurts to get some free stuff baby's cost plenty
