I am going crazy over here!

I just started school and I'm trying to study which is impossible because my 7 year old and 2 year old are constantly bugging me. I put them to sleep at 8pm but they keep on getting up. I'm so exhausted by 8pm that I just want to sleep, therefore I miss out on quiet time after they've gone to sleep because I have to go to sleep. I can't drop them off somewhere because I have no family or friends nearby and my husband works a lot of overtime. So I'm stuck here trying to tough it out. I don't know how to get some good study time in.

I feel for you my kids are the same way, i instill a routine with my girls so they know what to expect and make sure that they get everything they need before so they wont have a reason to get up after being tucked in. If my girls still get up after all that then i get stern and give them one warning and after the one warning they have to stand in the corner for a couple minutes. Then depending on the night and how energetic they are they typically lay down and relax until they fall asleep. I am not sure if that will work with your girls but it has helped with mine. I wish you all the best and congrats on starting school i have been thinking of going back to school as well.
