How old is he? Yes, he's on the chubby side, and things (health issues, peer pressure) will only get worse for him. Unfortunately, our American diet destines us to be overweight and even obese. So much sodium, food dye, and sugar in our food leads to obesity. Exercise helps a bit, but when the rest of the day is spent eating unhealthy food, it doesn't do much good. I've just started following a diet by Dr. Gundry, who is a certified heart surgeon. I also watch my sugar. Dr. Gundry's diet is not weird. You will find a lot of things you like on his diet. The big problem will be a transformation in eating and buying groceries. My husband is diabetic, and I want him to follow the diet, too. He's reluctant, but when I read a few of the recipes, he was interested. You can read his books, THE PLANT PARADOX and DIET EVOLUTION. They're not expensive (neither is the food he recommends), and you certainly won't go hungry on his plan!
Here is a weird but amazing tip: Don't drink milk after 10 AM. I read a fiction novel about a man who travelled to Italy. He learned that Italians drink cappuccinos (full of milk) till 10 AM. After that, they drink espressos. They believe that milk fat is good in the morning and gives your body something to burn throughout the day. After 10AM, though, milk fat bogs down your digestive system. They so firmly believe this that some restaurants will refuse to serve a cappuccino after 10 AM! I've been following this, and the results are amazing! My digestive system has been supercharged, and my tummy is flatter!
what a handsome little man, he's not fat at all! the boy on the right could use some nice outside time though :)
