I need HELP - If anyone experienced the same problem.

My 4.5 and 3 years old kids, don't sleep on their bed the whole night. They keep coming to our bed in the middle of the night. I tried to convince them to go back but, sometimes I couldn't. They keep saying there is a monster and it's dark:( they don't want to go back to their bed once they are awake. Any suggestion?

Maybe get them some "monster spray" sometimes this works... just some water in a spray bottle ... have them spray it under their bed to get rid of the monsters! A fun idea that seems to work.

My children have a night light... have you tried that?

I will try the monster spray trick. Yes, they do have light too. Thanks.

Careful with the night light idea my daughter ate her light bulb out of hers when she was 2. Scared the death out of me but she was fine. I like the monster spray idea. I just say stay stern keep putting them back in their beds every night they do it and maybe they'll just stop getting up.

Yeap one of those ones that flickers like a candle. It was in a night light in their room. And me and daddy was about to do the deed and her big sister yelled and said that she was chocking. So I jumped up half naked and ran in there and she wasn't chocking but she was hiding beside the bed cause she had ate a light bulb. I was so scared and totally freaked. There was no blood in her mouth she wasn't crying or anything but I could hear the glass crunch in her teeth. I called the nurses hot line and they said she was probly fine but I had to bring her in for xrays to make sure she didn't swallow a big piece. Thank God she was just fine :)(I guess her dad did the same thing when he was little)Needless to say they have no night light anymore.

Thanks all for your reply, Yes, I do have lights for each of them, it's bright enough like wall light and some starts on the ceiling. That's why it's easy for them to come straight to my bed. They used to cry with only a little light and wake me up to go and get them or make them sleep on their bed. Now, i don't even know, when they sleep next to me every night:)

When my girls were little I made up a rhyme that I said to them every night about tucking them in and keeping the monsters away. This worked great.
