do not wake them

Not waking them up is the most important thing. Stay calm and take them back to bed. Stop any feedings at night 3-4 hours before bed and make sure they go to the bathroom before bed as well.

My oldest suffered really bad one time she tried break out of her bed room window but ever since we stopped the eating prior 3 hours and she went bathroom nightly before bed they have stopped.

We had to wake our son because he would sleep walk and it was the only way to get him back to bed because he would literally be running from something in his dream. I don't think he woke up fully because many times he wouldn't remember he had done it come morning.
