Sleep help:)

Does anyone have advice on how to get my 8 month old to sleep in his own crib now at night? I have co-slept with him since he was born due to me only getting sleep that way. But now I feel he is ready to sleep in his own bed instead of with mommy and daddy at night. He still wakes up at night at least 2-3 times a night.

ugh. Sorry. This is tough cause he's big enough to throw a decent size fit that plays on your guilt. 2-3 times isn't bad actually. If he's going back to sleep? I say just stick to it. Don't pick him up, tell him you're there and then leave quietly. Hopefully he will get used to it.
But at 8 months he knows what he's missing. Lol. Sleep training sucks. And it's something you end up doing over and over after they get sick or tooth aches.
Stay strong though cause once you give in once they know you will give in and fuss harder...
Our girls always slept in there bed from the day they came home. But at about 8 months they would start to throw fits and we would just let them cry it out. I heard somewhere if your kids wake in the middle of the night it helps to set beside their bed/crib and old their hand until they fall asleep.
If it will fit in your room you could try putting his crib in there until he gets used to it, and you don't have to go to far if he wakes up. My daughter slept in our room in her bassinet till she was about 3 months. When we felt it was time to move her to her own room we would put her down for naps in the crib in her room. She got used to sleeping there and if she woke up it wasn't dark. Then one day we started putting her down for bed time too. The first couple of nights were rough and she woke up a few times. I just came in to comfort her and would leave. She got used to it though.
