Moms teeth

So when I was younger I had pretty healthy teeth, never to many cavities or any major problems. Now that I'm a mother of two it seems like my teeth are going down hill FAST. They are starting to rot at the gums(yuck I know) my gums are swollen all the time. I had a tooth ache in the front top 2 teeth for like 3 weeks last summer and went to the dentist and he said I had some kind of infection in them that were going to slowly kill them :(. I have no insurance and called all the offices I could think of and everywhere wanted like $700-800 down. That's just crazy. I have always taken good care of my teeth and it just breaks my heart that they are falling apart. Have any other moms had this problem after having kids?

No, but my mom did. She had to get dentures in her late twenties because her teeth became so bad after having three of us in four years. She was very conscientious of our teeth growing up because of it and even mentioned it again once I started having babies. I don't know what it is but pregnancies and nursing must take its toll on each of us differently.
