Christian families and children's prayers

Prayer time is very important in our family. I believe that prayer is the vehicle for daily dialog with the One who created us. We always pray before school and before going to bed. I like when y son is praying, he is a little shy but it's ok. I know some families pray before and after each meal. In fact, the psalmist asks, “What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:4). Daily prayer is a good way to understand this incredible truth and the marvelous privilege God has given us.

I agree that prayer is very important and very strong. Honestly we don't do it as much as we should, and I'm working on that. Also I've really been wanting to get back into church, I miss it. I was raised in church we didn't go every sunday my whole life but we went on and off threw the years. I think its time to get my kids into church. They are at an age where they are asking questions and I explain it the best I can but believe the church could do much better. I have anxiety around new people or a lot of people so it's hard to push myself to go since I'll be going by myself with all 3 kids(hubby works nights and don't get home till 8 in the morning). Any advice is much appriecated :)

we go to 1st Baptist church with more than 400 members, and I also helping with Sunday School. I love our pastor and his wife. You should not worry about going by yourself with all 3 kids. Just be yourself. I'm kind of shy sitting in front of whole audience, so I usually pick the seats at the end. I believe you will meet wonderful people and your kids can growth spiritually. You can message me with any questions.

find a church you are comfortable in. We tried quite a few before we found one that was us. Some were too stuffy, too traditional, or the members were a lot older... I wanted my kids to love church not hate it like I did growing up. I always felt I had to be on my best behavior and act a certain way and I hated that.
Now that we go every Sunday we found a church that is accepting of all people and believers. Yiung and old are there. Single, married, divorced and gay couples all around and it's just cool. We sing and they have Christian bands play before and after...
We live it. I am a single mom and take my kids and I sit alone and I never feel lonely.
So find your church and then you will look forward to going. :)

I've been doing a lot of research online trying to find the best one to try out first. I think I found one that looks like a lot of fun and what I'm looking for in a church. But can you explain the whole Sunday school thing to me a little(sorry I haven't been in church since my kids were born). I want to go to a church that has a good Sunday school class for my kids not one that just has like a daycare. They said that Sunday school starts at 9:30 and service starts at 10:30, so do your kids set throw the whole service with you or do they go down to Sunday school during services too. I'm just a little confused, I don't think I can get all 3 kids to be quite and behave during the whole service.

at our church we have Sunday school for everyone-kids go in their classrooms depends on age, and parents have their own Sunday School at the same time. During 45 minutes we have a Bible story, paper time, crafts, snack and singing. I teach age 4-K. Kids have to stay with their parents during the worship time, and go do the junior church( up to grade 1) during the actual message. Their teachers again do Bible stories, crafts and games.
