Do I really want a baby?

"Do I really want a baby?" seems to be a common question to ask for mothers who are trying to conceive. I know I've asked myself that question. Some days the answer is an absolute yes, but other days I doubt my decisions with so much already changing in my life. Parenthood is a huge responsibility.

I think that it is much easier to want a baby than to be ready for one. I also think no one is ever *fully* ready because it's difficult to know what all challenges you will face as a new parent.

That being said, have any of you ladies also felt this doubt? What things are imperative in your opinion to have in place before having a little one? Financial security? A home? Education? Or do you think the joys of parenthood come at the right time whether or not you think you're ready?
