Brush a baby's teeth?
So we got a baby hygiene kit at one of my baby showers. It included one of those toothbrushes you can put on your finger to brush a kids teeth. My daughter now has two teeth, should I be brushing them? When did you start brushing your kids teeth?
Yes you can! i started as soon as my daughter got her teeth in. That way she would be used to it. I would lay her on my lap and brush her teeth. I didnt have much luck with the finger brush because it was to big, so i used an infant toothbrush. She is 19 months now and she has no problem with brushing her teeth, my son is 7 months and i have him on the routine as well. Im a dental assistant, so trust me its fine.
Good to know! do you use toothpaste? I know they sell that special toddler toothpaste, but I wasn't sure if it's too early for that.
The toddler toothpaste is ok, but i just use water with my son and i alternate because with my daughter she liked the flavor and would just suck on the toothbrush.. lol.. so with my son i alternate. How old is your little one?
She just turned 7 months last week. Thanks for the advice :)
You r welcome, anytime. My son is also 7 months, i see our kids were born 3 days apart. lol
we've started brushing our son's teeth daily. It's good to get them used to it and in the habit early. If the brushes are too big amazon carries dental wipes. They've worked great for us.
