Blanket wearer.

My son has hated swaddling from day one. He hates having his hands held down as he likes to sleep with them up by his face, so I started him on sleep sacks and blankets right from the start. I just tuck it around and keep it below his armpits and he's just fine. He's 7 weeks now and still no issue. And I'm totally paranoid about SIDS too, but it's the only way I can keep him warm in this cold and get him to sleep comfortably.
I think as long as it's tucked around him and not up by his face you're ok. Just use your instinct you will know what's right for your baby.

Mine started taking the mittens off before he was a month old. He found out how to and I could not keep them on. Another nephew of mine was the same way. Boys like what they like and that is that, no compromising. LOL I now have to fight to put pants and socks on him and he is 12 weeks old.

My son disliked swaddling as well and would fight out of the blanket, since birth. I do the same thing. I put him on it, the edge of the blanket at arm pit level and then fold the rest over him, tucking the remaining under him (at arm pit level of course). He is now 12 weeks old but kicks the blanket off now. lol
I never saw a problem with having him in the blanket like a burrito. Some babies dislike swaddling.

Aw, that is adorable! My son has to go to sleep with this stuffed musical sea horse. It plays 5 minutes of lullabys and glows, and I have to play it 3 times. LOL He will reach to touch it and then make sounds for me to replay it.

Yeah. I always laugh at it. He will wave his arm at it sometimes, too. I think he tries to make it work because he sees me press it. It plays 5 lullabys each time and he never tires of it. Also, now by hubby purchased him a light that projects stars and a moon on the wall and ceiling so he has to have that to. And my husband says to me, "See what you started with the sea horse (and laughs)." So, he goes to Walmart to find his son that. Ok....lol
