MOMS!!! What is the ONE thing that you look back on and wish you chilled out over???

I say their sleep... I was SO worried about the amount, the time, the crying it out, the rocking them back.. etc... It was something that takes over having a baby.. this obsession...the worry... nap times, how long.. how do you get them to sleep alone? In a toddler bed? Etc... it was crazy!!!! And I was EXHAUSTED!

NOW.. that my kids are 7 and 9.. I look back and realize that I wasted so much time and energy on worrying about it and for.. well.. not nothing, but to know NOW.. that sleep cycles happen and even at this age, they STILL go through phases of waking up, being scared, wanting to sleep with you, etc...

So, here's what I have to say to moms dealing and going through the sleep thing.. Breathe, relax... trust yourself.. It won't last forever...

The nights you need to rock them.... rock them... the nights they cry it out.. and you can't take it.. it's OKAY... The days they didn't nap.. teh weeks they didn't nap... the nights they're up a lot!... breathe.. relax... Do what you need to do, to get through it... Because you will go through so much with the sleep thing... you will spend two weeks 'training" them and then they will get a cold and it all goes to waste... You will spend two hours trying to get them to nap in their crib when they want to sleep on your bed... some days, just let them... Every time I felt we made a milestone and "trained" them.. teh following week a tooth would come in or a belly ache and I felt like we were starting from scratch ALL THE TIME...

So, within reason of course.. do what you need to do to get through it..Hang in there... because sleep.. this thing.. this challenge.. is the one thing that seems to last forever... years.. lol...

And for those of you that have those miracle babies that just love to sleep and never had an issue... yeah! You won the lotteryl!

It depends on which stage you are talking about since I have older and younger children. I wish I had chilled over the messes, I guess. Napped when they napped with my first two.
