Losing a loved one

My older kids lost their dad about 3 years ago and because they where so young I thought religion was to hard for them to understand so i take them outside at night and tell them their dad was on the moon. Every night I have them tell them something they did during the day or what they miss and or what they remembered about their dad. I find it such a helpful thing and they have been enjoying it. Of course as they get older more questions will be asked but then i will feel it is the right time to tell stuff as it was, right now there minds are so young and its enough pain for them to handle not seeing them around anymore to add more sad stuff at this time!

I had lost my parents when I was five. Honestly I wish someone helped me cope like that. From a kids point of view to lose someone as close as a parent is one of the most devastating things he or she could go through. If u can make it even a little but easier for them it will make a big difference. And if when they get older they get mad or upset about it. Know that they will still be thankful for ur help. :)
