I don't think that there should be an "average" expected height..

Too many things come into play... Parent heights, growth spurts, gender, health..

My son is 9 and is not the shortest and not the tallest.. He smack dab in the middle of everyone.. At first.. in K-2.. he was the tallest.. then 3rd, he was one of the shortest and now.. he's in the middle...

His dad is just under 6 feet and I'm 5'8".. So I imagine that he will be around 5'10...
