Homeschooling preschoolers: ideas for field trips
Here are some ideas for field trips for preschoolers:
The Discovery Kids Museum.
The Museum of Science and Industry (it's very hands on and our children have loved going)
The Botanical Gardens - who doesn't like flowers! Just be prepared to stop and sniff every flower with a preschooler! :)
Families of faith will enjoy the Creation Museum in Kentucky/border of Ohio. It's only 5 hours from Chicago.
In the fall an Apple Orchard.
Berry picking at a u-pick.
An Aquarium. (We have the Shedd Aquarium here in Chicago)
Contact a local bee keeper and ask him to give a presentation to your preschooler/preschool class.
That's all I can think of right now. What can you add to the list?
