missing thymus gland

we really cannot get a break. Connor is missing his thymus gland. It appears he was born without one, therefor has no immune system of his own. He has 160 out of 1500 t cells, and they appear to all be mine. Makenzie and grahm will be undergoing blood tests to see if they are a match for a bone marrow transplant. They are also looking into a thymus transplant, which is only done in north Carolina. Im wigging out. He has an unidentified bacteria growing in his PICC line site, the staph infection around his heart, and rsv. How much can one little body take?????

oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! My cousin was born without a thyroid and it took then two weeks in the NICU to figure it out. He's always been on medication and is small for his age but otherwise he's a normal 16 year old boy.

I know Connor is in much deeper weeds then my cousin but I can't wait until you can look back on these hard times and see just a distant memory because your boy turned out to be such a joyful addition to your family.

I am so numb. My friend also just had her 14 year o?ld get locked up today for something that wasnt her fault. We were on the phone bawling to each other. There are no words to describe what i am feeling.
