Pancreatitis

​Pancreatitis - a common disease of the pancreas. Children often occurs because the complication of infectious processes give the pancreas, which also in periods of disease subjected to a load from drugs and antibiotics.

Last winter my son got the flu and was hospitalized. Within 10 days he was taking antibiotics. Of course as soon as he got home, he ate homemade food and tore off his pancreas and the doctor prescribed him a diet: Table number 5.

This diet is appointed for 5-7 days. You need to eat 5-6 times a day, small portions. The food is steamed or baked.

Allowed: soups of cereals with water, vegetable soups with the addition of cooked ground meat. Meat or fish (river only) as steam cutlets, quenelle or souffle with the addition of egg white; steam omelet, mashed potatoes, carrots, pumpkin and squash; baked apples; compotes with dried fruits, jelly, mousse, dry cookies (galettes).

Not allowed: raw vegetables (especially cabbage and radish), fruits, legumes (peas, beans, etc.), meat, mushroom, fish broths, cocoa, juices, soda, milk, honey and confectionery.
