Love this idea, but I have no one to ask. My close family members live in another state, and my in-laws do not live in the US.
Guess I'll be cooking up a storm towards the end of my pregnancy. :)

I think being relaxed and knowing that your newborn will be able to pick up on your moods and feelings. So if you are feeling agitated or stressed and find your baby fussy, look to yourself first, then to the other normal things to check for, like need to burp, hunger, diaper change, tiredness, boredom etc.

I'll try to remember. Just post and S.O.S and we'll all chime in with things to help you relax! :)

Don't sweat the small stuff. If the laundry gets a little backed up or the dishes start to pile, don't sweat it. Relax and enjoy the first 6 weeks at least. Do what you can and let your body tell you when you have done enough.

Get lots of frozen, pop in the oven food, for at least two weeks-whether it's premaking casseroles or raiding the frozen the section at the store. And if you are breastfeeding, take it easy on the tomato and milk products-babies tummies are sensitive.

My husband actually suggested something brilliant. Paper plates and cups. Then I won't have to worry about the dishes at all. :D
(of course, I'm still pregnant so this is just an idea, not sure how good it is.)
