Would you ever disown your child?

A recent post got me thinking, is there anything your child/children could do that would make you disown them? For me, HELL no, never. That is your child and even if they are grown it is your job to protect, teach and guide them. I could never imagine doing that to my babies.

My mom ( a horrible lady) Completely disowned me and a few of my siblings and ripped up all the photos I sent her of me, Ashton and Brynlee in front of Bryn. Needless to say we havnt been there in a few months.

Its fine, she has been off her rocker for a while. CPS has been all over her recently and my older brothers will have to adopt our 9, 7 & 5 year old siblings (Knox, Oakley & Katelyn) And Ash and I will likely be adopting my 3 year old brother Benton. She was charged with child endangerment but the state is letting her keep the older ones. Its hard on the family but we are doing what we can to help our siblings

I think when children go through rough patches and they are being hard to deal with, the fight or flight instincts kick in when you are at your wits end and that temptation may very well arise. I just say, you never know....once a child is grown you cannot make them do whatever you want anymore. They make their own choices. If they are nasty to be around, we have the right to choose to love them from a distance rather than being trampled on and subjecting siblings to negative behavior or attitudes, especially if it's easy to be pulled down by them.

OH i do not think I ever could... but then again I have never been in that situation and hope I never am. ... but I do know that I will always love my children ... and given that i am always forgiving of others would probably forgive them ...
